This was by far the most fun repurpose I have done. I love the idea of repurposing at item into something completely different. I fell in love with this crate at first sight and knew immediately what I wanted to do with it. I think I enjoyed doing this repurpose so much because it was all salvaged material. Material that would have probably ended up in a landfill somewhere.
I transformed it into two coffee tables. It was easier to do than I had initially thought it was going to be but still I had to have a little help. My son cut the crate in two sections for me. He actually cut it in half measuring from bottom of the crate up. He did an excellent job and is very handy to have around. He probably would blush if he knew I was saying this. I used the top of the crate as a lid for one of the tables. I had to make the bottom and top for the other table. I used,-- yep, you guessed it-- pallet wood for the bottom and top of the piece that was cut off. I added new hardware to both of them, making great storage space. I also added casters to one making it movable.

Both crates as I was working on them. They are really starting to
take shape now. I have put one coat of stain on the left one and
added a bottom to the one on the right:

Did you get that from the ReStore? I saw something just like that there and almost bought it! :) Are you selling these? Where at? You can post it on my new Facebook page...A Vintage Twist...have you liked that page yet?
